Destiny is not a matter of change, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

Omnipotence: The ability to do everything that can be done.
Omniscience: The ability to know everything that can be known.
Omnipresence: The ability to be present everywhere at all times.
Omnibenevolence: The ability to be infinitely kind and altruistic.

Prickles & Goo is a 2-minute excerpt from a talk by philosopher Alan Watts, on human perception and empathy, illustrated with an animation by Trey Parker and Matt Stone.“It’s just gooey prickles and prickly goo”.

Imagining The Tenth Dimension. 1-3? Easy: *waves hand*. Time is the 4th: that figures. But from 5 onwards… I’ll pass. Until now! This video is a bit of a headfuck, but very interesting nonetheless. It clearly explains dimensions 1-10, then, for an encore, disproves the 11th dimension :D

4 handy iPhone applications

By jove, the iPhone is one versatile device. Here are 4 applications I’ve been using, and would recommend (app links open iTunes):

Shazam
Identifies mystery songs by making a 10-second recording and comparing it to an online database. Suprisingly accurate.

Stanza
Transforms your iPhone into a ebook reader, complete with a catalogue of copyright-free books; all the classics are there.

EasyWriter
This simple app lets you write text in landscape keyboard mode, and import it into a new Mail message. Handy for long emails and notes.

Things
Well-formed task organiser (ideal for GTD) with just the right amount of features and a lovely interface. Syncs with the Mac version too.

Here are a few other notable applications I’ve come across:

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
